Depending on the garment’s care label, adjust the iron to the maximum temperature setting. Place a thin cloth or other protective sheet over the backside of the garment. This will help to safeguard the fabric that you are pressing onto. Press down with a firm pressure using the maximum temperature for a period of 30-40 seconds. Do not move the iron back and forth like you would if you were ironing regularly, this can stop the heat from being properly applied. 

Thicker Garments like hats will need to be ironed from both sides. Make sure a thin fabric or paper is placed between the front of the patch and iron. Iron the front of the patch FIRST for 45 seconds, turn the garment inside out and iron the patch from the back of your garment for another 30 seconds. Let garment cool, check adhesion and repeat the steps if necessary. 

For garments with curved or heat sensitive surfaces: a permanent adhesive, fabric tack, or spray adhesive may be used.
